At Dr. Tunde Apantaku's Clinic, we specialize in providing patient-centered community care for children, adolescents, and their families who are struggling with mental health issues. We do not just treat a person's symptoms; we treat the person as a whole, while also offering ongoing support for those affected by the mental, emotional, and/or behavioral concerns.

As an ever-improving treatment center, our vision at Dr. Tunde Apantaku Clinic is to redefine the way that mental healthcare is delivered. We are a leader in creating distinct and effective psychiatry support through our collaborative practice with primary care physicians, pediatricians and other clinical professionals, and, most importantly, through the application of technology.
Babatunde (Tunde) Apantaku-Olajide, MBBS, MRCPsych, FRCPC, CIME is an assistant professor of psychiatry at Dalhousie University Nova Scotia and the Memorial University Newfoundland, and staff in the Department of Psychiatry at Saint John Regional Hospital New Brunswick. He is on the Canadian Psychiatrists Association (CPA) committee on professional competency.
He has published several journal articles and internet based educational resources on child and adolescent mental health and substance abuse conditions. Dr. Tunde is actively involved in training and mentoring of medical students and residents.
Psychiatric services are covered through Medicare unless expressly indicated. Please contact our office for details on fees for private consultations.
Referral from physician, paediatrician or nurse practitioner is required.

An appointment is necessary for most visits including prescription renewals. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your booked appointment time and bring your Medicare Health card. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the appointment will be rescheduled for another time and the cancellation policy will be in effect.
Late Arrival
We aim to make your visit a pleasant one. In our efforts to make your visit more comfortable and to minimize your wait time, our office has implemented a late arrival policy. If a patient is more than 15 minutes late for an appointment, the appointment may need to be rescheduled.
All patients are encouraged to arrive at the office at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment to register and complete any required paperwork. We appreciate your compliance and understanding with this policy so that we can continue to provide excellent medical care as well as excellent customer service.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, contact our clinic immediately. Since appointments are in high demand, your prompt cancellation will give another patient the opportunity to access timely medical care. Appointments that are not cancelled by 12 pm (Noon) one (1) business day prior to your scheduled appointment (or by 12 pm on Friday for appointments taking place the following Monday) may be subject to fees. The fees vary depending on the type of appointment that was missed.
There is no charge for rescheduling or cancelling an appointment if we are notified. Fees may be waived due to family or health emergencies at the discretion of the physician.
A missed appointment is when you fail to show for a scheduled appointment without notifying the clinic or when you cancel without sufficient notice.
As a courtesy, this clinic sends appointment reminders via email or telephone for all scheduled appointments. If you do not receive an appointment reminder, you are still responsible for arriving on time to your scheduled appointment. A telephone or email appointment reminder is not guaranteed, nor does a lack of one signify a void in our appointment cancellation policy.
Updating Contact Information for Existing Clients:
When updating your personal information with our clinic, please email us with your new home/email address, phone/cell number and/or Medicare insurance number.
